The bacterium is able to enter the animal through open wounds, punctures, shearing, and oral ingestion of pus from abscess that has ruptured.Mad Cow Disease is caused when abnormal proteins occur in the cow’s brain, spinal column, small intestine, and even in their blood. They can also be found in lymph nodes, and bone marrow. It is believed that this disease is able to enter a cow when that cow is able to eat a product which is made from other animals that have the mad cow disease. Humans are also vulnerable to this disease. Humans may acquire this disease by eating a meat or drinking the milk of the infected animal. Some of the early symptoms that cow displays if they are infected with mad cow are: difficulty in standing and walking, poor muscle coordination, changes in behavior and attitude, sudden weight loss, and lesser milk production.Knowing the symptoms of some of the animal diseases will greatly help you prevent an outspread of that disease.
